The Mastey Amino Acid / Protein Complex
Penetrating the cortex and rebuilding damaged capillary fibers
A protein is a chain of amino acids. It is the way these amino acids are assembled that determines the type of protein. To rebuild the hair, it's not important whether the protein came from an animal source, from human hair keratin protien, or from vegetables, as long as it had all the necessary amino acids found in human hair.
Mastey has selected to use vegetable proteins for a several reasons. For one, vegetables are plentiful, and easy to extract from the source. Second, by blending a variety of vegetable proteins such as wheat and soy, we are able to specifically target and boost the levels of amino acids -- such as lycine, cystine, and histamine --necessary for healthy, shiny and elastic hair.
The Mastey Amino Acid / Protein Complex has a small molecular size and weight (180/750/2000), enabling it to penetrate the cortex and rebuild damaged capillary fibers. It makes hair stronger, more vibrant and elastic.
The Mastey Amino Acid / Protein Complex contains added levels of Tyrosine, the most important amino acid in hair color processing; and Systene, the amino acid that is altered in perming processes. This helps ensure that color treated hair is reinforced and that curl formation remains strong and full of bounce.
Finally, using vegetable proteins avoids the ecological and moral ramifications of using animal by-products.
